INTRODUCTION TO ASTRONOMY

The word Astronomy suggests study of everything that originates outside Earths atmosphere that is planets , moons , stars , galaxies , nebulae etc. It uses mathematics , physics , chemistry to study those celestial objects.

Astronomy is one of the oldest natural sciences.It was studied by many civilizations like Greeks , Maya , Egyptians , Chinese. Nowadays professional astronomy is also called as Astrophysics. Professional Astronomy is split into Observational Astronomy and theoretical Astronomy. Observational  Astronomy uses Telescopes and cameras to observe or look at stars , galaxies , nebulae and gather data from them. theoretical Astronomy is use of physics and chemistry to describe astronomical object or astronomical phenomena
